Delaware Notice of Rent Increase
Give written notice before raising rent on a Delaware tenancy. Follow the lease and Delaware notice rules. Local rent-control rules can cap the amount even when the notice period is met.
- A month-to-month tenancy generally takes 60 days’ written notice (Del. Code Ann. tit. 25, § 5106).
- This notice is not an eviction and not a new lease.
- City rent-control or just-cause rules may still limit the increase.
