Privacy policy

Generators run in your browser. Party names, addresses, rent, deposit amounts, and the PDF you download are assembled on your computer. We do not save filled forms to an LeaseGen.io account, because there is no account.

This browser may keep:

• Send-for-signature waitlist requests, including emails and a property address, so you can see them on Send requests.
• A small flag for whether you already answered the post-download feedback prompt.

Clearing this site’s data in your browser deletes that local copy. We cannot recover it.

If you use Send for signature, your browser posts a waitlist request to our server. We store a count, not the emails: document type, state, how many signers, and whether you asked about packets, reminders, or a workspace. Landlord and tenant email addresses stay in this browser. We use the count to decide whether to build paid send-and-sign.

The feedback form can send a star rating, a comment, and (if you came from a generator) the document type and state. You do not have to leave an email. We email that note to ourselves with Resend so we can read it. We rate-limit the form by network address so one person cannot flood the inbox. We do not publish reviews.

The contact form sends your name, email, and message to us with Resend so we can reply. We set reply-to as the email you entered. We rate-limit that form the same way as feedback.

The website and APIs run on a host that may log standard request data (time, path, browser, and IP address) to operate and debug the service.

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are used, roughly where visitors come from, and whether people hit generators, pricing, or send-for-signature. Google sets cookies and receives the page URL, browser, and a truncated IP. We do not send lease form fields, names, or PDF contents to Google.

You can block this with a browser tracker blocker, or Google’s opt-out tools. This is usage measurement, not an ad network on this site.

We do not sell your information. We do not use generator contents for advertising. We do not require an account to generate or download a document.

Paid send-and-sign, checkout, and e-sign are not live. When they are, a payment processor and a signature vendor will receive the emails and files needed to send, charge, and return a signed copy. We will update this policy before that launch.

Browser storage lasts until you clear it. Waitlist counts, feedback emails, and contact messages are kept only as long as we need them to build the product and answer you. In-memory rate-limit records age out within about an hour.

You can stop using the site, clear local storage, or skip the waitlist, feedback, and contact forms. To ask us to delete a waitlist count, feedback email, or contact message we hold, use the contact form. Name the document type, state, and approximate date if you can.

LeaseGen.io is for landlords and other adults who need residential rental paperwork. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Keep using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
