Washington Lease Renewal Offer

Propose a new term and rent for an existing Washington tenancy. Until both sides sign, the current lease and Washington notice rules still control.

• A tenant may end a month-to-month tenancy with at least 20 days’ notice before the end of the period. After 12 months, a landlord generally needs a qualifying just-cause reason (Wash. Rev. Code §§ 59.18.200, 59.18.650).
• A signed renewal is what changes the term. This paper is the offer.
