North Carolina Month-to-Month Rental Agreement

A North Carolina month-to-month tenancy continues until someone ends it with proper notice. A month-to-month tenancy generally takes seven days’ notice (N.C. Gen. Stat. § 42-14). The usual security-deposit cap is 2× monthly rent.
