New Jersey Month-to-Month Rental Agreement
A New Jersey month-to-month tenancy continues until someone ends it with proper notice. A month-to-month tenancy generally takes one month’s written notice (N.J. Stat. Ann. § 2A:18-56). The usual security-deposit cap is 1.5× monthly rent.
