Massachusetts Month-to-Month Rental Agreement
A Massachusetts month-to-month tenancy continues until someone ends it with proper notice. A tenancy at will generally takes notice equal to the rental interval, often 30 days (Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 186, § 12). The usual security-deposit cap is 1× monthly rent.
