Iowa Month-to-Month Rental Agreement

A Iowa month-to-month tenancy continues until someone ends it with proper notice. Either party may end a month-to-month tenancy with at least 30 days’ written notice (Iowa Code § 562A.34). The usual security-deposit cap is 2× monthly rent.
