Propose a new term and rent for an existing Vermont tenancy. Until both sides sign, the current lease and Vermont notice rules still control.

• Notice to end a periodic tenancy is generally 21 days if the tenant has lived there under two years, and 60 days if two years or more (Vt. Stat. Ann. tit. 9, § 4467).
